Letter: Democrats must unite to defeat threat of Trump

Ben Franklin allegedly said, when speaking to his fellow signers of the Declaration of Independence, “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.” He was talking about the need for unity in the face of an existential threat. The only thing the colonies could agree on was that the king must go. But this proved to be enough.
