Letter: Disallow youth protests during school hours

As a Mililani Town resident, I strongly disagree with Hawaii public schools permitting high school students to protest Immigration and Customs Enforcement during or near school hours. Recent walkouts at schools like Kalaheo, Leilehua, Mililani, Waipahu, Kapolei and Castle — often organized via social media and allowed without strong intervention — send a message of institutional endorsement for one political viewpoint, undermining educational neutrality and impartiality.
