Letter: Drone shows can help Hawaii forget fireworks

All of the media coverage about new fireworks laws, enhanced enforcement and injuries was nice, but the year ended in a fairly typical cacophony of explosions. When there is a traditional activity that is fun and has cultural significance, we should all realize that people will not stop doing it just because it is declared illegal. People will, however, likely embrace a superior alternative when they are exposed to it enough.
