Letter: Japan, Germany offer regime-change models

In his Island Voices column, John Hiltz reminds all of us that a nation that was hit with fire bombs that reduced Tokyo to ash, and two atomic bombs, then unconditionally surrendered to end World War II, still became a modern financial giant (“Operation Tomodachi illustrated evolution of U.S.-Japan ties,” Star-Advertiser, March 11).
