Letter: Peace march date shifts, but meaning remains

The overthrow of the Hawaiian kingdom happened on Jan. 17, 1893. This year, the ‘Onipa‘a Peace March will be on Friday, Jan. 16. Even through the COVID-19 pandemic, the Peace March was held on the 17th. Yet, when a lawsuit comes knocking, the multibillion-dollar trust is willing to tip its hand and muddle Hawaiian history. Kamehameha Schools needs to bus its students to the demonstration.
