It’s unclear whether Secretary of State Marco Rubio was on board with President Donald Trump’s attack on Venezuela or the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. It does appear that Rubio has a more realistic and less dangerous plan than Trump for U.S. interactions with that country (“Rubio stresses U.S. plan to coerce Venezuela,” Star-Advertiser, Jan. 5).
