Lightning, Rain, Mudslides Burdened Windward Oahu

Lightning lit up the skies across the state. Some residents reported the loudest thunder they’ve ever heard. Both Punalu’u and Kahana stream gauges were above record water levels and a mudslide forced road closures near Waikane.
