SELF Magazine’s list of the best cities for women ranks Hawaii at the top for life expectancy.
Honolulu came in at number seven for overall healthiest city.
According to the magazine, women in Honolulu get sick less often and have the lowest combined rates of depression, migraines and insomnia.
They’re also 27 percent less likely to die of heart disease and can expect to live nearly three and a half years longer than the rest of us.
One possible explanation, 80-percent of Honolulu women went to the dentist last year.
Past research has linked gum disease with potential life-shorteners such as heart disease, diabetes and stroke.
