A 35 year-old man tried to steal a vehicle with an 11 year-old girl in the back seat.
According to police, the incident happened in the McCully area around 9:15 a.m. Friday.
Officials say the girl’s father, 40, left the vehicle running, and went to get something when the suspect tried to take the vehicle.
Police say the girl’s father was able to stop the suspect and hold him until officers arrived.
The suspect was arrested, but later released pending investigation.
