The man accused of violently beating the manager of a Honolulu bar has been charged.
Hans Lafoia is charged with assault for the beating of Nicole Chung, a manager at Ellie’s on Kapiolani Boulevard.
Police say on July 8, Chung had asked Lafoia to stop bothering a waiter at the club.
Police say Lafoia followed Chung outside of the bar and punched her several times in the face before she fell unconscious.
Lafoia remains in police custody with his bail set at $25,000.
