A 20-year-old man who slammed into a pool deck after jumping from the fourth floor of an apartment building has died from his injuries.
According to the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office, Quinn Kunitomo, of Honolulu, suffered critical injuries after he tried to jump into a swimming pool.
The incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Kalo Terrace Student Suites near the University of Hawaii Manoa campus.
Paramedics took Kunitomo to the hospital where he later died.
The Medical Examiner says Kunitomo died from cranial cerebral injuries due to a fall from a height.
The manner of death has been ruled as an accident.
