Big Island police are looking for a 31-year-old Kailua-Kona man who allegedly escaped from a correctional facility Tuesday August 14.
Ryan James Jeffries-Hamar was last seen fleeing from Hale Nani off Route 11 in Hilo around 2 p.m. He is about 5’7", 170 pounds with blue eyes and short reddish-blond hair. He has a tattoo along his entire right arm.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
