UPDATE: The city medical examiner has identified the man as William Houseworth, 26, of Jackson, Mississippi. His cause of death has been deferred pending further investigation.

A man’s body was found floating in the Ala Wai canal Saturday morning.
Police were called to the scene just after 10:00 a.m. near Paoakalani Avenue.
Police say the man is 26 years-old and do not believe foul play was involved.
For now, police are classifying the case as an unattended death.
