HONOLULU (AP) – A police standoff at a Maui home is heading into its third day.
A SWAT team and crisis negotiators are still surrounding the Kahului house where an attempted-murder suspect has barricaded himself since Wednesday afternoon.
Police said they heard gunshots from inside the home Wednesday night and last night.
The suspect is Josiah Okudara. He is considered one of Hawaii’s most wanted fugitives — is holed up in a house on Opukea Street. Neighboring homes have been evacuated.
