Police are looking for a person of interest in an early-morning crash on Maui that left a 22-year-old Haiku woman dead.
It happened at 1:08 a.m. Saturday on Kahekili Highway in Waihee.
Police say Tiare Franco was driving a white Dodge pickup truck north when she lost control of the vehicle, ran off the roadway and about 75 feet down an embankment.
Franco was thrown from the truck and died at the scene.
Police say another passenger in the vehicle ran away after the crash.
No word is speed, drugs, or alcohol are factors in the crash.
