Honolulu mayoral candidate Kirk Caldwell opened his campaign headquarters Saturday.
The HQ is located on Nimitz Highway in Kalihi. Caldwell was joined by a group of supporters at the event.
"I know what the job requires," Caldwell said, "it’s about up-close and personal, nitty gritty kind of stuff like filling pot holes, repaving roads, picking up our garbage."
He’s running against current Honolulu Mayor Peter Carlisle and former Gov. Ben Cayetano.
