National and state flags at Hawaii offices and agencies are to fly at half-staff in memory of a Marine from Kailua-Kona who died in Afghanistan.
The governor says flags are to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Thursday for Lane Cpl. Christopher L. Camero.
He died in July after he was injured during combat operations in Helmand province.
The 19-year-old Camero was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force based in Twentynine Palms, Calif.
He is to be buried Thursday at the West Hawaii Veterans Memorial Cemetery after a memorial service.
