Men accused of racing plead not guilty in death of Waimanalo boy

Two men accused of racing and allegedly causing the death of an 11-year-old boy in Waimanalo pleaded not guilty in Honolulu Circuit Court Thursday.

Herbert Kaio-Campbell and Travis Murray face charges of manslaughter and assault.

Honolulu police say in July 2010, both men were racing along Kalanianaole Highway when Kaio-Campbell’s car struck the back of a white sedan, killing 11-year-old Samuel Kassebeer.
