A group of art students from Moanalua high school are heading to the big apple, and it’s all thanks to their sneakers.
The students entered their custom designs in the National Vans Custom Culture Shoe Art contest.
And they won the Southwest region final by 61 votes.
The group now heads to the National contest in New York City in June, where they’ll compete against four other schools.
If they win there, they’ll bring home the grand prize of $50,000 dollars for the school’s art program…plus their designs will be sold at Vans stores.
