UPDATE: The city medical examiner has identified the motorcyclist as Richard Grover, 54, of Honolulu. His cause of death has not yet been released.

A fatal motorcycle killed a motorcyclist on Kalanianaole Highway Monday.
The accident happened near Laukahi Street at around 10:45 a.m.
Police say a car was coming to a stop at a traffic light when the motorcyclist rammed the back of the car, flew off and landed on the road.
He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition where he was pronounced dead.
He has been identified as a 54-year-old Honolulu man.
Police say he was speeding before the collision.
Kalanianaole Highway was closed for about two hours while police investigated.
