Residents from across the state headed to the polls on Tuesday to make their voice count in the 2012 General Election. However, some voters are expressing frustration after various sites across Oahu have run out of paper ballots.
The Office of Elections confirms that the following sites ran out of paper ballots:
- Kailua Elementary School
- Waianae Elementary School
- Wilson Elementary SChool
- Leilehua High School
- Kaimuki High School
- Salt Lake Elementary School
- Maili Elementary School
- Holy Trinity (East Oahu)
- Hahaione Elementary School
- Lehua Elementary School
- Mililani District Park
The Office of Elections apologizes for any inconveniences and says as long as voters are in line by 6 p.m., their ballot will be counted.
The first results printout is expected to be released at 7 p.m. It will mainly consist of absentee mail-in and absentee walk-in votes.
