The 2008 Saint Louis graduate was carted off of the field during the first quarter in Provo after a collision with BYU guard Famika Anae. The stinger was the second of Hanohano’s University of Hawai’i tenure, prompting doctors to advise that serious medical issues could persist if he were to continue playing.
Fellow defensive tackle Siasau Matagiese was also carted off of the field in the first quarter of Friday’s contest, producing a scary scene for the Warriors and their already depleated defensive front.
The two losses are compounded with the season-ending ACL tear defensive tackle Moses Samia suffered against Lamar on September 15th.
Hanohano finishes his season with three total tackles, and his career with 31 tackles and two sacks in 37 games played.
