A blessing was held Thursday for a new courtroom at U.S. District Court.
Today was one of the rare times that cameras were allowed inside federal court. The new second floor courtroom was built using federal stimulus money. Senator Dan Inouye was on hand for today’s blessing.
"And I will most certainly report to my colleagues in the senate that the money was well spent put to good use but I will tell them that I will do my utmost to make certain that I will never appear in this courtroom," Inouye said.
The new courtroom was given the hawaiian name "aha kulea," which means "in accord with the pursuit of happiness."
