Japanese americans soldiers of the 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team and the Military Intelligence Service are being honored in the nation’s capitol.
On Tuesday a memorial was held to remember all nisei who served during World War II.
"Now they honor me with this kind of a prestige it makes me cry. I want to thank America. Thank you, thank you," said Glenn Masunaga, who served in the Military Intelligence Service.
A Congressional Gold Medal ceremony will be held Wednesday morning. You can see part of it live on our KHON2 morning news.
