Just a year ago, an earthquake and tsunami in Japan brought the automaker’s production to a halt.
Nissan is now back on their feet, and production is underway.
The news comes just days before the disaster’s anniversary.
The automaker’s CEO called today’s news "miraculous."
Nissan had a record sales year in 2011 of 4.67 million vehicles. That was up 14 percent from 2010.
