NOAA investigating report of monk seal injured by dog

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is investigating a case in which a monk seal was reportedly injured by a dog.
Officials say it happened around noon Saturday in the Hawaii Kai area.
Witnesses notified authorities, but by the time they arrived the monk seal had already gone into the water.
It’s still unknown how badly it’s injured.
The Hawaiian monk seal is an endangered species.
