Occupy protesters in Honolulu are celebrating a big milestone.
At midnight on Sept. 17, 2011, the Occupy Wallstreet protest began. Due to the time difference the protest began at 6 p.m. Hawaii time.
They are also celebrating when protests began in other cities across the country.
"I’m just here as a constant reminder to everybody that things need to change. That these problems can no longer be ignored and that a better world is possible," said Jake Roozen, Occupy protester.
Monday they plan to sign wave at the State Capitol, then also have a discussion about genetically modified organisms before marching to UH Manoa.
