Off the news: Recent ICE violence rattles across nation

The thousands of miles separating Honolulu from Minneapolis seemed to shrink over the weekend. Saturday’s fatal shooting by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, the second this month, drew far-flung cities into the fray over ICE. There was a protest near Ala Moana and many other places nationally alarmed about the death of protester Alex Pretti.
