Part of Kamehameha Highway blocked off while crews work to fix water main

Part of Kamehameha Highway will be closed Saturday night as Board of Water Supply crews work to repair a 6-inch water main break.

Officials say the break happened at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning near the intersection Kamehameha Highway and Luluku Road in Kaneohe.

Three businesses are without water at this time, but a water wagon will be placed near the break site for those affected.

BWS crews have closed the right lane on Kamehameha Highway, which is the southeast bound lane heading towards Mokulele Drive, while they work to fix the break.  Repairs are expected to continue into the evening.
