PBS Hawaii’s new studio debuts tonight

PBS Hawaii will host its first broadcast tonight from its newly renovated studio.

The Manoa facility underwent $2 million in repairs after a fire there caused extensive damage.

The process of rebuilding turned out to be a learning experience as the station plans for its future.

"We are leaving the campus of the University of Hawaii to build our own building and now we have experience rebuilding a studio," said Leslie Wilcox, PBS Hawaii President and CEO.

PBS is planning to move to its new facility in a couple of years.
