Event trials in the ASP’s Volcom Pipe Pro at Ehukai took place Saturday in pumping 12-to-18 foot swells.
Among the bomb-chasers moving on were North Shore lifeguard Dave Wassel, who shredded through the epic surf before contest directors called it a day due to out of control conditions.
Surf permitting, the contest will continue Sunday.
