A Honolulu police officer was injured at a traffic stop early on Wednesday morning.
According to the department’s Facebook page, a little before 2:30 a.m. the officer stopped a motorcycle for an excessively loud muffler in the parking lot of a restaurant along Keeaumoku street.
During the stop the motorcycle’s radiator exploded spraying anti-freeze on the officer.
The officer was taken to a hospital in good condition.
The 29 year-old motorcycle operator was arrested for not having a valid licence. Police also say illegal drugs were found during the stop.
