Police open arson investigation after Waipahu car fire

Honolulu police have opened an arson investigation in connection with a car fire early Monday morning.

It happened right off of the H-1 freeway in Waipahu at just before 3 a.m.

Police say the suspects entered the locked yard of a landscaping company and searched two buildings and damaged a third with a forklift.

The suspect then set two trucks on fire.

No one was hurt in the fire. 

Damage is estimated at $9,000.
