The University of Hawai’i women’s volleyball team had its season ended tonight with a five-set loss to second-round host Washington.
After leading the match two sets to one and up 25-24 in the fourth set, the Rainbow Wahine couldn’t finish off the Huskies, falling 27-25. The Huskies then took control of the fifth and final set, cruising to a 15-11 victory.
13th-seeded Washington will move onto the Omaha regional, while the Wahine season ends with a 27-3 record.
