A recent incident in a crosswalk is helping to highlight an important safety reminder.
Dozens of students, parents, and faculty from Kapalama Elementary School lined Bernice Street Friday morning urging drivers to slow down.
A teacher was hit in the crosswalk in front of the school two years ago.
There was another incident Thursday. "A student while crossing the street was bumped by a car and that’s why we want to remind drivers to please slow down and watch out for pedestrians especially when they’re in a crosswalk," Wenli Lin, Farmers Insurance. The student was not seriously injured.
