Repair work on H-1 Freeway causing traffic backlog

Traffic is backing up on the H-1 Freeway near downtown Honolulu due to road repairs.

According to the Department of Transportation, crews are performing repair work on the freeway in the westbound direction.

At last check, the two right lanes by the Pali Highway exit and the right lane near the School Street exit are blocked off.

Motorists can expect delays in the area.

The DOT says repair work will also close lanes on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between Ward Avenue and the Punahou Street overpass on Wednesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
