Hawaii state public schools have received impressive rankings according to test results just released Tuesday morning.
The 2011 National Assessment of Educational progress report card has Hawaii as the only state to show both math and reading gains in grades 4 and 8
The news is tempered. Although Hawaii showed improvement, the scores still remained below those of most other states except in fourth-grade math.
