On Kauai, Weliweli Tract residents have been evacuated after a brush fire broke out in the area Wednesday afternoon.
The brush fire reportedly broke out near Ala Kinoiki around 2 p.m. and spread to the residential area. According to Kauai officials, atleast three homes where destroyed. Officials say no injuries have been reported yet.
Police have closed Kapili and Po’ip roads while fire crews work to extinguish the flames.
Fire officials are urging people to stay clear of the area while crews work to extinguish the fire.
