Retired federal judge Alan Cooke Kay made historic Hawaii rulings

Retired U.S. District Court Judge Alan Cooke Kay, the jurist who handed down historic rulings protecting Kameha­meha Schools’ admissions policy and journalism in Hawaii, died Tuesday. He was 92.
