Salt Lake Boulevard is closed from Kamehameha Highway to Kalaloa Street due to numerous utility poles down in Halawa.
It happened at around just before 4:30 a.m.
Police are directing traffic around the affected area. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
HECO crews are responding to the power outage in the area. Officials say about 1200 customers are affected from the outage.
It is unknown how long repairs will take at this time.
