Fire officials say they will suspend the search for a body surfer who not been seen since last Thursday.
Family members say 47-year-old Lance Kaowili of Kalama Valley went to Sandy Beach every day.
Fire officials began searching for the man on Saturday morning.
That’s when they found his surf shorts and a hand board but no sign of Kaowili.
Fire officials today expanded the search area to include Maunalua Bay and Diamond Head.
Unless additional evidence is found, the search will conclude at sunset.
