Hawaii Senator Dan Akaka is on his way back to Washington D.C. Monday night after a minor health scare.
The senator’s office says his family was being extra cautious, and took him for medical care in Honolulu on Saturday.
He was diagnosed with dehydration and was cleared to fly.
Senator Akaka is retiring when his term ends in January after nearly 40 years on Capitol Hill.
