EMS officials say a 40 year old woman and a 39 year old man were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The shooting happened around 7:45 Friday night.
The man and woman were reportedly shot while in the Bank of Hawaii Waipahu branch parking lot on Farrington Highway.
The pair then drove down the road a couple blocks to Waipahu Shopping Plaza, where Max of Manila’s restaurant is, to get help.
Jon Roquiero, who called 911 said, "We were waiting for our table at max’s and the car pulled up started honking horn, we saw bullet holes in the window. At first we thought someone was here to cause trouble so we put the kids back. Then realized they were looking for help. My brother ran down there to see what kind of help they needed. We found out that 2 individuals were shot. There was a woman driving, a man was a passenger, they were both shot."
Police still have the bank parking lot and part of Waipahu Shopping Plaza blocked off, and are still looking for the suspect.
