If you were looking for a place to find many of the same stores with the same deals minus the lines, then your best bet may have been Windward Mall.
"I thought it would be worse, more crowded, more people more pushing and pulling and impatient people but not at all," said Kuuipo Simmons of Kailua.
"It’s pretty relaxed, Windward Mall is out of all the hustle and bustle so it’s a good time," said Jim Lowrey of Kaneohe.
"I started bout 9:30 a.m. and I thought it would be as crowded as they said, but actually it’s pretty good the crowd and waiting in line," said Kenneth Hee of Hauula.
