Sides were millions of dollars apart in talks for UFC Hawaii event

During a media event ahead of Saturday’s UFC223 fight card in Brooklyn, UFC president Dana White told reporters that plans for a UFC event in Hawaii were ‘shut down’ by local tourism officials before a deal could be reached.
