Single-family Oahu home sales dropped in March

HONOLULU (AP) – Single-family Oahu home sales dropped 10.8 percent last month compared to the same time last year while condo sales saw a 2.1 percent increase.

Data released Monday by the Honolulu Board of Realtors also show the median sales price of a single-family home in March was $625,000, a 13.9 increase from $548,500. However, the median condo price was $311,750, a 1 percent decrease from $315,000.

Board President Joe Paikai notes condo sales saw a dramatic 48.0 percent increase compared to February.

According to board data, single-family homes sold at a slower pace last month compared to a year ago with houses listing for 44 days. Condo sales were quicker at 39 days, down from 46.
