Single mother gets facelift for repair-due home

A single mother of two on kidney dialysis received the gift of a lifetime recently when the Habitat for Humanity gave her home a facelift.

Crews fixed the leaking faucet, installed a brand new heater, put on new window frames and screens, and replaced the bathtubs and toilets for Diana Sua’s Nanakuli house.

She’s "excited to get everything all brand new again."

"This is a family that has come under hard times: the house has been in disrepair, she doesn’t have the money to repair it and it has just gotten worse and worse and worse," said Stan Sagum, from the Habitat for Humanity.

Lowe’s contributed $10,000 for the project.
