Son arrested for injuring dad on Father’s Day

A man was arrested for assault and abuse of a household member after he allegedly injured his elderly father in Pearl City on Father’s Day.

The 60-year-old suspect was arguing with his 81-year-old father when the argument became heated.

Police say the suspect swung a fence gate shut as he was leaving.

The gate struck his father and injured his arm.

A 59-year-old man intervened and the suspect allegedly threw a car part at his head.

The suspect was later arrested.
