Gas prices went through mix of price changes throughout the islands last week and the statewide average set a record price of $4.618 on Wednesday, April 11.
Today, the statewide average for regular unleaded is $4.615 a gallon, a penny higher than a week ago, 18 cents more than a month ago and 16 cents more than a year ago.
Hawaii continues as the state with the highest priced gasoline in the nation. Alaska is second with an average price of $4.36. California is third with an average price of $4.24 a gallon.
