Hawaii state representative Kymberly Pine announced her candidacy for the Honolulu city council district 1 (leeward coast) seat in the 2012 election.
District 1 covers Leeward Oahu, Kapolei, Makakilo, and Ewa.
It’s the seat that Tom Berg currently holds.
Former state representative Alex Santiago also announced his bid for the city council seat.
